UVB
UVB wavelengths along with proper temperature (usually additional heat), are responsible from vitamin D3 production in reptiles. However, only some UVB wavelengths (from 300~315 nm) help synthesize vitamin D3. Reptile UVB & UVA LED Fixture Pro emits UVB wavelengths from 305nm to 312 nm.
UVA
UVA is part of reptile vision, so without it they’re colorblind. A portion of wavelengths (from 320nm~335nm) also help regulate vitamin D3 production 1 and let reptile’s body know when they’ve produced enough vitamin D3. Reptile UVB & UVA LED Fixture Pro emits UVA wavelengths from 330nm ~395nm.
